Phase
Feeding Program Available at Jones Feed Mill... |
|
Phase 1 - is specifically designed to address
the nutrient needs of the young growing horse up to 12 months of age.
This formulation is designed to minimize nutrition related occurrence
of developmental orthopedic disease (DOD) and to provide nutrients
necessary for optimum growth while minimizing skeletal disorders.
Particular care has been taken to include minerals and amino acids
in the amounts and forms most beneficial to the young horse. |
|
Phase 2 - features the same attention to
ingredient quality as does Phase 1 but with levels of fortification
appropriate for the yearling and pregnant and lactating mare. Levels
of trace minerals in Phase 2 insure that development of the fetus
and storage of nutrients in the fetal liver are optimized, resulting
in superior skeletal development in the neonatal foal. Additionally,
the strong skeletal foundation initiated in the weanling fed Phase
1 is furthered in the yearling by feeding Phase 2. |
|
Phase 3 - is a scientifically
formulated performance horse feed that specifically addresses energy
substrate availability and muscle metabolism in the equine athlete.
Energy sources utilized in the feed are selected to satisfy the specific
metabolic requirements of the horse during both the anaerobic and
aerobic phases of exercise. The mineral, protein and vitamin levels
in Phase 3 insure peak performance and meet the micronutrient requirements
of horses in intense training. |
|
Phase 4 - is for mature
horses, barren mares and lightly ridden pleasure horses. Phase 4 is
higher in fiber than many conventional feeds, yet still retain an
adequate concentration of nutrients to satisfy the requirements of
older horses and of horses that are idle or lightly used. The pelleted
form makes Phase 4 especially appropriate for older horses with poor
teeth and horses prone to waste feed. |
|
Phase 5 - A feed formulated for horses being used for performance and show, using a highly digestible energy source including beet pulp and soy oil. This is a low protein feed, making it ideal for horses being fed rich alfalfa hays, which is enhanced with micronutrients. Yea-Sacc gives improved digestibility, while Vitamin E and a selenium additive known as Sel-Plex act as antioxidants and improve muscle function. |
Un-Ti – Is a low starch, high fibre and fat formula to keep your horse performing every day. Made with highly digestible fibre and fat sources, balanced with vitamins and chelated minerals, and enriched with Vitamin E, Un-ti covers all your bases. It contains Equi-jewel, and energy dense stabilized rice bran for added calories and a shiny healthy coat.
Competition Plus – This feed provides optimum energy without the corn. Competition Plus contains calories generated from several metabolic pathways to optimize energy and minimize glycemic response from starch. It contains chelated minerals, yea sacc for improved fibre digestions, vitamin E and the bioavailable sel-plex form of selenium.
Pacemaker X – This highly palatable extruded feed is formulated with balanced vitamins and minerals, Yea Sacc, and enriched with vitamin E to provide a competitive balance for your performance horse. The extrusion process improves the digestibility of starch, slows feed intake and allows for higher fat inclusion making this a calorie rich very digestible feed.
